Our mission is to make learning chemistry accessible to all students by elevating NCEA chemistry education from home. We believe that every student should be given the chance to reach their full potential.
Based on personal experience, we know the effort parents and caregivers go through to provide students with the best and most affordable opportunties to succeed.
We have worked hard to keep the annual cost of these resources as low and as possible. For example, we are being supported by several generous sponsors for 2024 who will subsidise the cost of our online study guides and exam paper libraries through to the end of the 2024 calendar year.
Level 2 and Level 3 online study guides and exam paper libraries are $10.00. Level 1 materials are $3.00 until the end of 2024. The Level 1 achievement standards have expired. These online resources are available 24/7 and can be accessed using popular computing devices (including desktops, laptops, ipads, tablets and mobile phones).
Teachers
As with all study guides, our online Chemtuts resources are intended to supplement your course materials. To succeed in NCEA chemistry examinations, students need to use a broad range of resources, including our online study guides, quizzes, and exam paper libraries.
Our online study guides encourage students to discover that chemistry can be fun. Our aim is to help students succeed by passing with an 'achieved', 'merit' or 'excellence' grade. Ultimately it is up to them. However our focus is on encouraging students to understand the subject, rather than memorising it, and to provide convenient online resources so they can learn from anywhere at anytime.
